Amalgamation Contest Update #3What is this? In case you don't know it's a contest where I host an event based in our universe. The event is called "The Covenant vs the Citadel"
All of the information around it can be found in the massively long description of these three deviations



I'm also going to tweak the contest a little bit, add in more rewards and increase the time of the event.
The goal: to create a fanart/poster (accompanied by 250 word minimum short story) depicting a battle based on this theme, composed of Citadel and Covenant forces fighting (may include Quarian and Krogan as apart of Citadel army, or even humans/UEGA, but only as supplements to the main three main Citadel races, refer to Galaxy Map description)
Or: Write a 2K word minimum chapter depicting the same thing

The Covenant are now going after Citadel controlled worlds, poor Illum seemed like such an easy target, all the way out in the Terminus Systems so far removed from Council Space, that didn't matter to the Covenant though... it was an Asari controlled world, it had to pay for it's heresy. Unfortunately this move was a bad tactical manoeuvre when considering the bigger picture; whilst an Asari world, the Covenant still had to "invade" the Terminus systems to glass it and that didn't sit very well with loose politics of the various gangs in the lawless bounds of the Terminus Systems. When the Citadel responded with it's own fleet some saw them more as liberators; the Terminus System harbour no love for either Citadel nor Covenant, one tries to impose it's rules and democracy upon the galaxy and the latter is a vicious dictator that's already impeached it's territory within the bounds of the Terminus Systems, but some Eclipse Mercenary Cruisers were reported aiding the Citadel Fleet and Super Dreadnought which was deployed to the system, as they had just as much to lose on Illum as the Citadel did. The world was only partially glassed when the Covenant was repelled, and now knowing the risk of going into a war with any Terminus System gangs as well as the Citadel and Humanity, the Covenant never returned. The Citadel fleet commander sent out a personal thank you to the Eclipse Cruisers in the system, and since then Eclipse gangs have been given more lee-way with the law on that particular world for most petty crimes.
